    Powerful appearance

    Signalling superiority: the newly interpreted Platinum grey S-Singleframe with sculptural chrome braces and S5 logo. S-specific bumpers emphasise the sporty attributes of the vehicle, as do the redesigned air inlets.


    Innovative lights

    Xenon headlights with LED daytime running light strip lend the Audi S5 Sportback an unmistakable look.


    Dynamic athleticism

    Generously sized wheels such as the optional 19-inch cast aluminium wheels in 5-parallel-spoke star design and body-coloured sill strips give the S5 Sportback an overall athletic appearance. The front brake callipers with S5 logo look exclusive and are ready to deliver top performance on demand.

    Sporty details

    At the rear, newly designed lights using LED technology are a real eye-catcher: they combine the dynamic side of the vehicle with the clearly defined rear end.

    A dual-branch exhaust system with four oval tail-pipes and a diffuser with an aluminium-look blade round off the striking appearance of the S5 Sportback.

    The special S details of the interior underline the sporty character of the vehicle: these include new chrome applications or inlays in matt brushed aluminium, Carbon Atlas, stainless steel mesh, Fine birch wood grey or Piano finish black.

    Conveying an authentic racing feel: the leathercovered multifunction sports steering wheel in 3-spoke design with aluminium-look shift paddles.


    Dynamic atmosphere

    The standard S sports seats, front, with S5 embossing, seat heater at the front and electric seat adjustment offer excellent support. The interior is generously comfortable, the headlining in black or lunar silver creates a dynamic tension.

    With an output of 245 kW, the powerful and compact V6 TFSI engine delivers intense driving experiences. Innovations like quattro® with self-locking centre differential and wheel-selective torque distribution make this an exceptional vehicle.


    The engine – the heart of the Audi S5 Sportback. The torque and acceleration will already impress in the first few metres. The 3.0 TFSI V6 spontaneously comes to life, six turbocharged cylinders release 260 kW of power. Just like the A5 Sportback, the S5 Sportback has efficient TFSI® technology. It has a 3.0 TFSI V6 engine. An innovative mechanically-driven supercharger system with charge air intercooler is employed here and turns the six-cylinder engine into a compact powerhouse with moderate fuel consumption. This is assisted by the startstop system that switches the engine off automatically in different standstill situations, and switches it on again when the brake is released. The S5 Sportback is exclusively available with the fast 7-speed double clutch S tronic and quattro® all-wheel drive.It is not just the peak torque of 440 Nm; also impressive is the torque curve, with at least 90 % of the maximum torque being available across a speed range of 2,200 to 5,900 rpm. Thanks to its spontaneous responsiveness and exceptional power delivery across the entire speed range, the 6-cylinder engine promotes a particularly dynamic driving style. It accelerates the S5 Sportback from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds.

Audi consistently implements various efficiency measures in an overall concept. As a developer of numerous innovations, Audi has had a long-lasting effect on the automotive industry.


    Start-stop system

    The start-stop system helps to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by switching the engine off when the vehicle is at a standstill. If the driver stops the vehicle at the traffic lights, for example, moves the gear lever to neutral and takes his foot off the accelerator, the system switches the engine off. The starting process is initiated as soon as the driver presses the clutch or releases the foot brake for the vehicle to move off again.


    Driver information system with efficiency program

    The driver information system display concentrates numerous individual displays centrally in the cockpit, and permanently indicates the vehicle’s current operating state. The efficiency program integrated in vehicles which are equipped with the start-stop system also provides the driver with an overview of consumption data, display of additional loads, an enlarged gear display and fuel-saving tips for particularly economic driving. The integrated attention assist also analyses driving behaviour using a range of sensors and warns the driver if anything indicates that he is starting to become inattentive.


    S tronic

    The S tronic transmission combines the low fuel consumption of a manual transmission with the benefits of an automatic. The control ensures fast and consumption-reducing gear shifting in automatic mode. The very large transmission-ratio spread of the S tronic allows the last gears to be used at very low engine speeds.



    Increasing the generator voltage converts kinetic energy into usable electrical energy when the vehicle is coasting or braking. When the vehicle accelerates again, the battery supplies the stored energy back into the vehicle network, taking the pressure off the alternator and thus helping to save fuel.
