RS 6 Performance

  • Exterior

    A boost in performance.

The new Audi RS 6 Avant performance.

The new RS high-performance model was built for drivers who want more: more dynamism, more power, more exclusivity. To achieve this, the 4.0-litre V8 TFSI engine of the RS 6 Avant has been modified. 445 kW (605 PS) now provide acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. The top speed is up to 305 km/h.

Versatile design details enhance the sporty first impression which the RS 6 Avant performance creates. They include sporty bumpers with large air intakes at the front and a highly profiled diffuser insert at the rear, the glossy black honeycomb grille typical of the RS and extra-wide sills. The exterior is also characterized by the air intake funnel with the quattro logo and the distinctive attachments in matt titanium finish: for example, the framework of the single-frame grille, the front spoilers and the side flaps in the air intakes, the trim strips on the side windows, the exterior mirror housings and the upper edge of the diffuser insert at the back.

  • Interior

The interior of the new Audi RS 6 Avant performance features first-class workmanship. The RS front sports seats are available on request with an Alcantara/leather combination in black and with blue honeycomb quilting. The optionally available inlays in carbon twill blue with contrasting threads provide additional styling. The circular instruments have black dials, white scales and red pointers. RS logos adorn the key, the three-spoke RS leather-covered sports steering wheel, the illuminated door sill trims, the tachometer, the big DIS display and the electrically extended monitor of the MMI Navigation plus system. The RS 6 Avant performance offers a luggage compartment volume of 565 to 1680 litres.

Engines and transmissions

  • The drive of the Audi RS 6 Avant.

    The engine.

The 4.0-liter V8 TFSI engine familiar from the RS 6 Avant has been modified for use in the new Audi RS 6 Avant performance. The RS high-performance model sprints in just 3.7 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h – an improvement of 0.2 seconds on the basic RS model. As a special highlight, the engine provides an overboost function, in which up to 750 Nm is available to the driver for a short time. After another 8.4 seconds the RS 6 Avant performance breaks through the 200 km/h barrier. With the optional dynamic packages top speed can be boosted from 250 to 280 or 305 km/h.

The drive unit and the chassis

The standard eight-speed tiptronic system is tuned to peak sporting performance. All gear changes are fast and flexible. The quattro permanent four-wheel drive transfers this impressive power to the road, and flexibly distributes the torque as required via the central differential. The new RS 6 Avant performance comes with specifically tuned air suspension as standard. With its dynamic setup the RS adaptive air suspension lowers the body by 20 millimetres. The integrated controlled damping responds to road conditions, you’re driving style and the Audi drive select mode.

  • Efficient through consistent use of lightweight engineering.

    The special features

The RS 6 Avant performance offers a variety of optional extras: the optional RS performance design package in black and blue complements the standard RS sports seats with prominent side bolsters by adding new seat covers in an Alcantara/leather combination with honeycomb quilting and matching contrast stitching on the armrests, controls and floor mats. This combination is complemented by knee pads in Alcantara and decorative inlays in blue carbon twill. The standard paint finishes of the RS 6 Avant performance include Nardo Grey and Mythos Black. Ascari Blue Metallic can be ordered optionally as an exclusive paint finish for the RS performance models. The range is supplemented by the individual and matt-effect paint finishes of Audi exclusive.
