Q3

Design

  • Exterior

The Audi Q3 design echoes the form of an offroader, but it is clearly an urban vehicle. The athletic silhouette with the coupé-like roof line signalises sportiness. The powerful and muscular body, dominant Singleframe and low-set air inlet blades define its character.

    Sporty and progressive

The Singleframe radiator grille dominates the frontend with the dynamically curved bonnet picking up on and continuing the design line. The wedge-shaped headlights can be equipped with xenon plus units with LED daytime running light on request. Large inlet blades are a clear demonstration of the engine’s potential.

    Living dynamics

The athletic silhouette with the dynamic flat rear window signalise urban sportiness. The Tornado line models the sides underneath the windows in an exciting interplay of light and shade. The dynamic line also accentuates the side sill areas; the wheel arches are defined by their muscular appearance and underline the sturdy character of the Audi Q3.

    Striking rear

The Audi Q3 can be clearly recognised as a member of the Q-family. Its encompassing tailgate visually emphasises the vehicle’s width and makes loading easy. The Audi Q3 is 4.39 metres long, 1.83 metres wide and 1.60 metres high including roof rails.

  • Interior

The roomy interior of the Audi Q3 harmoniously continues the dynamic line of the exterior design. A large arc, known as the wrap-around, surrounds the driver and front passenger – a feature familiar from the Audi brand’s larger model lines.

    Expressive and individual

The spacious interior of the Audi Q3 harmoniously continues the dynamic line of the exterior design. A sweeping arc, the wrap-around, encompasses the driver and front-seat passenger – typical for the premium model series of the Audi brand.

    Well-planned ergonomics

The Audi Q3 is easy to operate, its equipment features are logically structured and intuitive to understand. The instrument readings can be seen reliably at first glance. The optional hinged colour display, which can be up to seven inches in size, is located in the centre of the dashboard and is a first in the Q-family. The horizontal division of the instrument panel emphasises the width. Seats made of fine fabrics or of high-quality leather on request convey excellent support and guidance.

    Generously dimensioned

The roomy interior of the Audi Q3 provides comfortable seating for everyone. There is plenty of space in the luggage compartment of the Audi Q3 for leisure and sporting equipment. The basic volume is 460 litres, folding down the divided rear seat backrests increases it to 1,365 litres. The optional panorama glass roof opens up the interior to the outside.

Engines and transmissions

  • Dynamic efficiency.

The TFSI® engines in the Audi Q3.

    Dynamic efficiency.

The Audi Q3 1.4 TFSI is available with 110 kW. This enables the Q3 to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.9 seconds and reach a maximum speed of up to 200 km/h. It has an outstanding combined consumption value of 6.2l/100 km.

When the driver chooses the efficiency mode in the Audi drive select, the S tronic opens the clutch when the vehicle is in overrun – and the sporty SUV coasts along, reducing its fuel consumption even further.

The TDI engine in the Audi Q3.

    Efficient and powerful.

The TDI engine combines all the powerful Audi efficiency technologies – direct injection, turbocharging, the startstop system and the recuperation system.

The powerful TDI model with 130 kW is equipped with permanent all-wheel drive quattro® and dynamic 7-speed tronic transmission as standard. The hydraulic multi-disc clutch of the permanent all-wheel drive diverts the forces from the front to the rear axle at lightening speed if required. This engine variant reaches its maximum torque of 380 Nm at an engine speed of only 1,750 rpm. This allows the Audi Q3 to accelerate to 100 km/h in only 8.2 seconds, and reach a top speed of 212 km/h.

When the driver chooses the efficiency mode in the Audi drive select, the S tronic opens the clutch when the vehicle is in overrun – and the sporty SUV coasts along, reducing its fuel consumption even further.

Efficiency

  • Consistently efficient.

Vorsprung durch Technik is the claim to which the Audi brand is committed. Not only where sportiness is concerned. But in terms of futureoriented mobility as well. Audi consistently implements various efficiency measures in an overall concept. As a developer of numerous innovations, Audi has had a longlasting effect on the automotive industry.

    Start-stop system

The start-stop-system helps to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by switching off the engine in stationary phases, e.g. at traffic lights. The start process is initiated as soon as the clutch is pressed (manual transmission) or when the footbrake is released (S tronic) for a good getaway. Can be deactivated at any time via a button.

Driver information system with efficiency programme

The driver information system is equipped with an efficiency programme to reduce fuel consumption. The integrated efficiency programme assists the driver by providing consumption data overviews, a larger gear display (for manual transmissions) and fuel-saving tips for more economic driving.

    Recuperation

Increasing the generator voltage converts kinetic energy into usable electrical energy when the vehicle is coasting or braking. This (brake) energy recover is used to assist the generator during subsequent acceleration, saving up to 3 % fuel.

    Audi drive select

With the optional Audi drive select, you can influence individual vehicle components at the push of a button and so change the character of your Audi. Four modes are available to you: comfort, dynamic, auto and efficiency. The efficiency mode shifts the engine, automatic transmission, climate control and the optional cruise control to a consumption-improved basic setting.
